Eaglets and Pilots split doubleheader

ORCHARD LAKE -- Orchard Lake St. Mary's and Warren De La Salle split a baseball doubleheader on Wednesday. St. Mary's won Game 1, 11-9.

Blaise Salter was 3-for-4 with a home run and 4 RBIs for St. Mary's, who trailed 7-9, through four innings.

Dominick Brugnoni had three hits and two RBIs, and John Keith and Austin Fleming each added a hit and three RBIs for De La Salle.

In the second game, De La Salle won, 8-1, on the strength of Andrew Hambert's no-hitter with 16 strikeouts. Matt Beam was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Joe Loria was 2-for-4 with a run driven in.
