Rice takes two from St. Mary's

ORCHARD LAKE -- Birmingham Brother Rice took a doubleheader from Orchard Lake St. Mary's, 6-4 and 4-2, in Catholic League boys baseball action on Wednesday.

Andrew Sohn went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base and Sammy Stevens got a pinch hit RBI in the fifth inning in the opener for Brother Rice (2-0).

Matt Ruptenthal threw five innings, gave up one hit and struck out 14 batters in the night cap for the Warriors.
