Matt Brimer Named to All-State Dream Team
DETROIT--The Free-Press has named Orchard Lake St. Mary's, 6-3, 295, senior Matt Brimer to its 2005 All-State Football Dream Team. Brimer, a senior co-captain, played offensive tackle and defensive tackle for the 11-1 Eaglets.
Coach George Porritt: "Matt's a good drive-blocking tackle. Defensively, he's a statuesque tackle in the wind. It was hard to run in the A or B gap against Matt. He worked on getting his weight down to be quicker -- he used to be 315 -- so he'd be in better condition to be a two-way player."
Eaglet senior running back Anthony Bowman, who has committed to the University of Iowa, was named All-State Honorable Mention at running back.
