White's three TDs lead St. Mary's past CC
The West Bloomfield Eccentric

A strong second half allowed the host Eaglets to snap a 7-7 halftime tie on their way to a 28-7 victory over Novi Catholic Central Saturday.

St. Mary's improved to 5-1 overall, 2-1 in the Catholic League Central Division. The Shamrocks are 2-4, 0-3.

The Eaglets rushed for 253 yards and scored all four touchdowns on the ground. First, however, quarterback Justin Siller (7-for-11, 113 yards) set up their first score with a 39-yard completion to Dionte Allen. Blair Hollis capped the drive with a 13-yard run with five minutes remaining in the opening quarter. Sean Graham added the extra point.

CC responded with Dustin Hess' seven-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter.

Dominique White, who ran 18 times for 126 yards on the day, scored three times in the second half. His 12-yard run made the score 13-7 midway through the third quarter. The score was set up by Steve Settiomo's fumble recovery.

White added a 27-yard TD -- plus a two-point run -- in the fourth quarter, then capped the scoring with a one-yard plunge later in the final quarter.

St. Mary's limited the Shamrocks to 68 yards rushing and 60 passing. The Eaglets play host to U-D Jesuit Saturday.
