Series History: The Eaglets and the Warriors have played each other in the Prep Bowl, in league games, and in the state playoffs. Each game has had an impact on the each team's season. In 1999, the Eaglets won the Division IV State Championship, with its only regular season loss to the Warriors. In 2001, the Eaglets beat the Warriors twice, once in league and again in the Prep Bowl to win the Catholic League Championship. In 2003, the Eaglets shut out the Warriors at home, but the Warriors had the more successful state playoff run, finishing as state runner-up. In 2004, the Warriors trounced the Eaglets, 28-7, to win the Central Division, but the Eaglets beat the Warriors in the state playoffs, 18-16. St. Mary's finished as Division 2 state runner-up. 2006 Recap: The Warriors were ranked #1 in the state for most of the season, and won their first 11 games.  Game 12 was a third rematch with Warren De La Salle in the MHSAA playoff regionals, and the season ended with a 17-8 loss.  The Warriors beat the Eaglets in Week 5 by a score of 14-7, and went on to win the Central Division title and the Catholic League championship.

2007 Preview: If the offensive line matures, the Warriors will have a strong running game built around RB Ray. The Warriors start the season against Detroit Denby, then meet two out-of-state powerhouses, Pittsburgh (PA) Penn Hills and Cincinnati (OH) Moeller before opening the Catholic League season against Novi Detroit Catholic Central.  Week 5 finds the Warriors visiting the Eaglets for Homecoming.
