Series History: The Eaglets and the Shamrocks split the home-and-home series from 1994-1997, and the Shamrocks won the 1998 Prep Bowl matchup. Since 2000, the two teams have been Central Division rivals, with the Shamrocks winning 3 of the first 4 games.  The Eaglets shutout the Shamrocks 13-0 in 2002, CC's only loss in its State Championship campaign.  Since 2004, the Eaglets have won 4 straight, including the 2006 Prep Bowl wildcard game.

2006 Recap: After losing its opener to Toledo (OH) Central Catholic, the Shamrocks won their next two games in convincing fashion before entering league play. CC then lost to Brother Rice, De La Salle and St. Mary's before beating Detroit Jesuit to finish at 1-3.  CC lost to the Eaglets in the Prep Bowl wildcard game to end their season, failing to make the state playoffs.

2007 Preview: The Shamrocks will rely on their defense for succees this year. Catholic Central plays Detroit Southeastern, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep and London (ONT) Catholic Central before entering league play against Brother Rice, and host the Eaglets in Week 6..

2007 Season to date (6-3, 3-2): Beat Detroit Southeastern, 24-12; Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, 49-0; beat London (Ont) Catholic Central, 56-0; lost to Brother Rice, 12-7; lost to Warren De La Salle, 21-14 (OT); beat St. Mary's, 21-10; beat Dearborn Divine Child, 48-14; beat Detroit Jesuit, 39-6; beat Warren De La Salle in Prep Bowl, 10-7.
