Ex-Eaglet Sherrell is NFL Europa Player of Week

Former Orchard Lake St. Mary's standout Anthony Sherrell was named NFL Europa Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Frankfurt Galaxy to a 18-13 win over the Cologne Centurions.

Sherrell, who played collegiately at Eastern Michigan and was assigned to NFL Europa by the Lions, had 102 yards of total offense in the Galaxy's win. He rushed for 57 yards on 14 carries and had six catches for 45 yards.

Through two weeks, Sherrell leads the league with 229 total yards and ranks second with 167 yards rushing on 91 carries.
