St. Mary's Delisi commits to Cincinnati
By Mike Rosenbaum of the Observer and Eccentric
Orchard Lake St. Mary's football standout Alex Delisi has verbally committed to play for the University of Cincinnati next season.
The 6-feet-2, 221-pound Delisi played linebacker and offensive line last year, but is expected to play defense in college. He was a three-year starter at linebacker for the Eaglets.
Delisi led St. Mary's with 163 tackles last season, including seven quarterback sacks, and forced four fumbles. He won numerous honors, including first team All-Catholic and first team All-Area.
Delisi is expected to sign his letter of intent on Feb. 7, the first day in which high school football players may make their college choices official. He'll likely join at least three St. Mary's teammates as Division I signees. Dionte Allen verbally committed to Florida State, Taurian Washington to Ohio State and Justin Siller to Purdue.
