Series History: The Eaglets and the Warriors have played each other in the Prep Bowl, in league games, and in the state playoffs. Each game has had an impact on the each team's season. In 1999, the Eaglets won the Division IV State Championship, with its only regular season loss to the Warriors. The game went into the books for most total points (107), and most points scored by an opponent (63). In 2000, although both teams won their division state championships, the Eaglets beat the Warriors in league play. In 2001, the Eaglets beat the Warriors twice, once in league and again in the Prep Bowl to win the Catholic League Championship. In 2003, the Eaglets shut out the Warriors at home, but the Warriors had the more successful state playoff run, finishing as state runner-up. In 2004, the Warriors trounced the Eaglets, 28-7, to win the Central Division, but the Eaglets beat the Warriors in the state playoffs, 18-16. St. Mary's finished as Division 2 state runner-up. In 2005, the Eaglets defeated the Warriors in league play and again in the Prep Bowl to win the Catholic League Championship, but the Warriors had the final hurrah, defeating St. Mary's in the state playoffs, 17-8, on the way to winning another state championship. In 2006, in their only meeting, the Warriors beat the Eaglets, 14-7.  St. Mary's hosted Brother Rice for Homecoming 2007, and thrashed the Warriors, 40-21.  Brother Rice then turned the tables in the CHSL A-B Championship, winning 45-14.

2007 Recap: The Warriors finished the season 8-3, 5-1 in the Catholic League, and lost to Rochester Adams in the Division 2 district final.

2008 Preview: The strength of this year's team is on defense, particularly at LB and in the secondary. Senior Shamari Benton (6-1, 193) is a Division I college prospect who will be a team leader at LB, senior DB Kenny Watkins (6-1, 192) has committed to Indiana, while sophomore Jimmy Pickens (6-1, 190) should be a fixture at safety for years to come. Seniors Peter Plaskey (6-4, 245), Matt Maletzke (6-0, 235) and John Miller (6-2, 221) will anchor the defensive line. There is some uncertainty on offense, particularly with the talent at the skill positions the Warriors will have to replace. Andy Lentz at QB, Michigan State freshman Caulton Ray RB and speedy the Ron Dorsey-Austin at WR all graduated. Junior QB Frankie Popp did play most of the regular season last year when Lentz was injured, so he should be a seasoned player. Seniors Danny Henneghan (6-0, 188) and Shaquille Marshall (6-0, 223) will lead the running game, junior Kevonte Martin (6-1, 184) and Mark Makoski (6-1, 187) will be two of the wideouts, while seniors Jareth Glanda (6-4, 260) and Zack Cherocci (6-1, 242) return along the offensive line.

2008 Season to date (7-3) : The Warriors beat Oak Park, 0-0, to open the season; lost at Muskegon, 27-42; won at Mishawaka Penn, 30-20; beat Catholic Central, 27-24; lost to OLSM 28-31; lost to De La Salle, 7-9; beat Detroit Jesuit, 49-13; beat Flint Powers, 33-7; beat OLSM in Prep Bowl, 28-21; beat Rochester Adams in Div. 2 playoffs, 28-21.
