Series History: The Eaglets and the Falcons have played an annual home-and-home series since 1994. In 2001, the two teams played a second time in the Catholic League playoffs with the Eaglets winning 12-7. St. Mary's has won the last four games including two in the Catholic League Classic at Ford Field.

2007 Recap: The Falcons went 3-6, 1-4 in league, and failed to make the playoffs.

2008 Preview:  The Falcons have 42 players on varsity, 12 more than last season. Coach Jack Masserang will have more depth and there's a good mix of juniors and seniors. Juniors Marty Mitchell (QB) executes the offense well and Adam Forster (RB) rushed for 700 yards last season. The secondary is headed by juniors Kyle Sampson and Nate Gendron. The top seniors are tight end Sean Frank (6-4, 220), a Division 1 recruit, Anthony Vella (OT), Zach DeBiasi (LB) and Rudy Fiscelli (NG), who's also the long snapper.

2008 Season (4-5):  The Falcons lost their opener at Dearborn Fordson, 31-7; beat Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, 27-10; beat Thornhill (Ont.) St. Joan of Arc, 49-0; lost to Saginaw Nouvel Catholic, 7-20; beat Detroit Jesuit, 28-25; beat Bishop Foley, 39-20; lost to OLSM, 7-45; lost to Catholic Central, 7-42; lost to Monroe St. Mary's Catholic, 19-41.
