St. Mary's grad signs with CIFL Thunder

The Muskegon Thunder of the Continential Indoor Football League signed quarterback Ryan Ferguson, a former standout and state title winner at Orchard Lake St. Mary's Preparatory School, to a contract for the upcoming 2008 CIFL season. In the team's Blue-White scrimmage game, Ferguson engineered the winning touchdown drive in the final minute as the offense scored a 27-25 victory over the defense in an intense intrasquad game.

"I find a way to get it done," said Ferguson, who threw for more than 3,000 yards and 27 TDs in semi-pro outdoor football two years ago. The Thunder is looking to improve on last year's 4-9 record.
