Series Record: 7-8

Series History: The Eaglets and the Shamrocks split the home-and-home series from 1994-1997, and the Shamrocks won the 1998 Prep Bowl matchup. Since 2000, the two teams have been Central Division rivals, with the Shamrocks winning 3 of the first 4 games.  The Eaglets shutout the Shamrocks 13-0 in 2002, CC's only loss in its State Championship campaign.  Since 2004, the Eaglets have won 4 straight, including the 2006 Prep Bowl wildcard game. The Eaglets played their first Sunday game in years, and their first Boys Bowl game, and lost. In 2008, the Shamrocks spoiled the Eaglets' homecoming, 14-7.

2008 Recap: The Shamrocks went 6-4, 2-2 in league, and lost to Livonia Stevenson, 24-13, in Division 1 district final.

2009 Preview: The Shamrocks have gone six years without a state title, but they return a roster deep and experienced enough to end that drought. Senior RB Anthony Capatina, senior FB/DT Niko Palazeti and senior OL/DT Jeff Sherman all return after being named all-Catholic for the Central Division as juniors. Senior LB/TE Mike Kinville, senior LB/RB Butch Herzog, senior QB Sam Landry and senior DB/RB Jon Savakus also headline a team full of solid, two-way players. The biggest key for Catholic Central will be getting a couple of wins in league play against the trio of Warren De La Salle, Birmingham Brother Rice and Orchard Lake St. Mary's. (Keith Dunlap, The Oakland Press, August 23, 2009).

2009 Season to date (13-0, 4-0 CHSL): The Shamrocks opened the season at home beating Detroit Cody, 49-0; beat Hudsonville, 35-0; beat Monroe, 49-0; beat Brother Rice, 24-7; beat Divine Child, 39-6; beat OLSM, 27-0; beat De La Salle, 14-10; beat Detroit Jesuit, 49-0; beat OLSM in Prep Bowl, 7-0; beat Livonia Franklin, 42-7; beat Livonia Stevenson, 38-0; beat Canton, 31-24; beat Holt, 31-0.
