2008 Recap: The Cubs won their opener at Lansing Eastern, by forfeit, then lost the remainder of their games to finish 1-8.
2009 Preview: The Cubs have a new head coach in Jeff Putnam, who rebuilt programs at Lapeer East and Davison. Though it may look like he's staging the impossible, Putnam said he's looking forward to the season, as well, citing strengths in QB Brian Cleary (who played nine games as a freshman) and a strong offensive line.
