DETROIT — It didn't take long for Orchard Lake St. Mary's to assert its dominance over Detroit Central during Saturday's Division 3 pre-district football matchup.
The Eaglets scored two touchdowns in the first quarter — both on runs by fullback Earnest Thomas — and never looked back in their 31-0 victory.
Thomas played an all-around game, scoring three rushing touchdowns and coming up with five tackles on the defensive side of the ball. He finished with 83 yards rushing on 12 carries for the Eaglets (5-4).
With the win, the Eaglets will take on an undefeated Melvindale squad next week.
