STERLING HEIGHTS--Brent Widdows, an assistant at Sterling Heights the past three seasons, was named head coach on Tuesday. He replaces Dave Cutlip, who resigned. Sterling Heights was 5-4 last season.
Widdows, a 1995 graduate of Orchard Lake St. Mary's, played college football at Adrian College. Prior to coaching at Sterling Heights, Widdows was the head freshman coach at St. Mary's for three seasons (2003-2005) with a record of 10-14.
