No. 3 St. Mary's Defeats No. 4 Grosse Ile

GROSSE ILE --Pointing at the upcoming state playoffs, the St. Mary's Hockey Eaglets traveled to Grosse Ile to defeat the Red Devils 4-2.  Back in December, Grosse Ile had rallied to tie the Eaglets 3-3.  Scoring one goal apiece for the Eaglets (7-6-3) were Clinton Bourbonais, Alex Prough, Shane Dwyer and Patrick Nagorsen.  Goalie Shane Trexler made 26 saves.  Grosse Ile is 9-5-2.  Both are state-ranked Division 3 teams; St, Mary's is No. 3 and Grosse Ile is No. 4.  The Eaglets host the Warren DeLaSalle Collegiate Pilots on Saturday, February 5.
