Balent's third-period scoring saves St. Mary's

TRAVERSE CITY--Billy Balent bailed out Orchard Lake St. Mary's, scoring a hat trick in the third period to lift the Eaglets out of a two goal hole, clinching a victory over Traverse City West, 4-3, on Friday.
Balent also added an assist to Max Borchers' second period goal on his way to a four point night.
Traverse City West (6-4) scored three goals in the first period and led until Balent's hat trick goal in the final period.
Devon Carr got the win making 27 saves in net for St. Mary's (7-3).
The Eaglets advance to the championship against Traverse City Central and play at 3:45 pm today.
