St. Mary's beats Saginaw Heritage in overtime

TRAVERSE CITY--In the opening round of the Traverse City Central Invitational Tournament, Orchard Lake St. Mary's beat Saginaw Heritage, 4-3, in overtime.

Zak Thompson scored the game winning goal off an assist from Max Borchers.

Billy Balent, Matt Uhrin, and Shane Halaas each scored a goal in regulation for the Eaglets.

Devon Carr got the win for St. Mary's (6-3) making 17 saves in goal.

The Eaglets advance to the semifinal round and play Traverse City West at 4:45 pm today.
