St. Mary's JV Hockey wins MJVHL Championship

BLOOMFIELD HILLS--Orchard Lake St. Mary's Junior Varsity Hockey recovered from a three-goal deficit to beat Detroit Catholic Central, 6-3, in the MJVHL Championship game at Cranbrook's Wallace Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The JV Eaglets got down 3-0 in the first period and slowly fought their way back with Mitch Laflamme jumping in net to shut CC down as the Eaglets got it to 3-2 after two periods.

The Eaglets came out determined and forechecked like crazy in the third, scoring three goals and an empty netter to end the game, 6-3.

Scott Walters and Brian Gould had another big game combining for five points.
