St. Mary's claims Traverse City tournament crown

TRAVERSE CITY — Trailing by a goal in the second period, Orchard Lake St. Mary's rallied, scoring two goals in the second period and two more in the third period, to beat Traverse City Central, 5-2, to claim the Traverse City Central Holiday Tournament Championship for the second consecutive year on Wednesday.

Cody Loyer scored twice and Luke Guminik and Tanner Pond each had a goal and an assist for St. Mary's (7-4-1). Ian Brambs added a goal and Cody King and Alex Zerbo both had two assists for the Eaglets.

Alex Wietrick and Caleb Morgan each scored for Traverse City Central.
