St. Mary's beats Plymouth Salem

TRAVERSE CITY -- Orchard Lake St. Mary's beat Plymouth Salem, 5-3, on Tuesday night, to advance to the finals of the Traverse City Central Holiday Tournament.

The Eaglets were led Ryan Foe, Cody Milan and Mitchel Vanderburg, with each scoring a goal and an assist. Vanderburg scored what turned out to be the winning goal late in the second period.

Plymouth Salem was led by Matt Downey and Nick Hayes, each scoring a goal and an assist.

Eaglet Trevor Bardallis scored a short-handed goal at the end of the game for the final margin.

Senior goalie Joe Janiga had 22 saves to earn the win.

St. Mary's plays Midland in the tournament championship on Wednesday afternoon.
