St. Mary's blanks Notre Dame Prep

ORCHARD LAKE -- Orchard Lake St. Mary's Hockey Eaglets scored three goals in a 30-second span in blanking Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, 12-0, in a game called after the second period due to the mercy rule.

Zak Thompson, Connor Lyons and Ian Brambs each had two goals and an assist for St. Mary's (15-5-1).

St. Mary's outshot the Fighting Irish, 41-5.

Matt Farr of the Fighting Irish (0-19) had 29 saves. St. Mary's Drew Delke stopped all five shots in the shutout.
