TRAVERSE CITY -- Orchard Lake St. Mary's beat Midland, 7-4, on Wednesday, to win the Traverse City Central Holiday Tournament for the third consecutive year.
St. Mary's was led by Ryan Foe, Alan Boozer, and Matt Latham, each scoring a goal with an assist. The Eaglets also had goals from Connor Lyons, Luke Rodgers, Shane Bednard and Mitchel Vanderburg.
Midland was led by William Vosejpka with two goals and an assist, and by Nick Mammel with a goal and two assists.
Eaglet goals had 16 saves and Midland goalie Keith Inman had 26 saves.
The teams were tied 2-2 at the end of the first period, but the Eaglets dominated the second period, outscoring Midland 4-1, to put the game away.
St. Mary's (8-3) hosts Grosse Pointe North in league play on Wednesday, January 5, 2011.
