Brother Rice blanks St. Mary's

ORCHARD LAKE -- Orchard Lake St. Mary's lost to Birmingham Brother Rice, 5-0, in MIHL boys hockey action on Thursday night.

John Hickman scored three goals, Mackenzie MacEachern two goals, while goalie P.J. Bridges made 18 saves and recorded a shutout for Brother Rice (9-2-1).

It is the first shutout of St. Mary's by a Michigan opponent since November 2008, and Rice's first win over the Eaglets since 1996.

St. Mary's is 9-4-0.
