Sophomore Chase Lundin opened the scoring for Huron Valley in the first quarter and senior Cody Brown posted the second goal. In the second quarter senior Brett Weinberg scored two goals, and Lundin added another for the team to take a 5-2 halftime led.

St. Mary's closed the gap in the second half, scoring four goals in the third and one more in the fourth quarter. Huron Valley kept pace with Weinberg scoring two goals and senior Dave Krass adding another for the Huron Valley team.

The defense played well and held the Eaglets off to win the game. The United team got assists from Weinberg and Krass (two each) and Lundin and Andrew Behrend (each with one). Senior Justin Rhorer led the defense along with Nick Ybarra and Ross Toupin. Senior goalie Kyle Gresehover had an impressive outing, making 16 saves in the win.
