St. Mary's beats De La Salle in Kyle Kup


ORCHARD LAKE--Orchard Lake St. Mary's beat Warren De La Salle, 19-6, in boys Catholic League lacrosse on Tuesday in the inaugural Kyle Kup game between the two schools to benefit the Kyle Rymiszewski Fellowship of Christian Athletes Camper Support Fund.

The win also qualifies the Eaglets for the Catholic League playoffs.

Ian Brambs led the Eaglets with four goals and four assists, and Brendan Austin added four goals. Drake Chwalibog and Drew Schupbach each had three goals and Taylor Docking had two goals and an assist. Cameron Schulze had seven saves in goal.

Artemio Sison had two goals for the Pilots, and Josh Szypa, Chris Mandell, Doug VanElslander and Kent Woody had a goal each.

The Eaglets travel to the Grand Rapids area to play Grand Rapids Forest Hills Eastern on Friday, and East Grand Rapids on Saturday..
