Silveira selected to row for U.S. junior team

Ian Silveira, a senior at Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep, has been selected to represent the United States at the World Junior Rowing Championships Aug. 8-11 at the 2008 Olympic site in Beijing, China.

Silveria, a West Bloomfield resident, will serve as stroke of the boat.  Twelve rowers and two coxswains from across the country were selected to participate.
