St. Mary's runner-up in Division 2 Track & Field Championships
GRAND RAPIDS--In its first trip to the state track and field finals in Division 2 since 2002, Orchard Lake St. Mary's finished behind state co-champions Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern and Ypsilanti. It was the Eaglets' best finish since 1953.
The Eaglet 400M Relay and 800M Relay teams, composed of Dionte Allen, Taurian Washington, Aaron Gant and Anthony Bowman, won state championships, and set a new state meet record in the 800M Relay with a time of 1:28.38, beating the record set by Lansing Waverly in 2002 by 0.29 seconds.
Anthony Bowman finished third in the 100M Dash and second in the 200M Dash.
